We are delighted to announce the appointment of Roy Whelan to Head of Software Solutions at Cantec.
Roy has been a valued member of our team since 2007, when he started as a Service Technician. His interest and expertise in Information Technology quickly saw his promotion to Technical Support Specialist. As lead technician, he was responsible for the installation and maintenance of our managed print services. His capacity to train and guide his colleagues made him the ideal candidate to lead the Cantec Help Desk and take on the responsibility for ongoing product and process training. The service team has recently been expanded to 16 by the addition of two new technicians, one of whom will work directly with Roy in providing IT and remote support.
The last decade has seen rapid advancements in technology and the inclusion of IT within office equipment. Roy has been to the fore in adopting technological developments and implementing them for the benefit of our customers. He works very closely with product specialists in Canon and Ricoh to ensure that the best of their innovations and enhancements are quickly incorporated into our product offering.
As Head of Software Solutions, Roy will be responsible for the development and deployment for all software products installed by our technicians. In addition, he will manage the delivery of Remote Management “FM Audit” to our customer base, continue his role as Product Expert for Cantec and provide pre & post-sales support for the sales team and our customers.
